So.

So, I got it last night....
I was adding some stuff, but the webftp program stopped working. Darn it, in the last several hours I have been so stressed out. Last night I was learning the ropes and felt a wave of regret for buying it, and today when I finally understand I can't even update. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, just that it's now unable to connect. There are currently three pages up but it's NOT PRESENTABLE AND NOT READY so don't bug me about it.
I was happy this morning, but now I don't know again. No one needs another creativity/Pokemon fan site. Nobody. I don't want to figure out every single problem Dreamhost decides to throw my way. It's overwhelming, so please don't bug me about it. Don't be smug like, "I knew you couldn't do it!"
It just looks so lame up there, and helpless. I don't care if I'm using the wrong terms or whatever, this is the worst time possible to chastise me for something that trivial.

I just hope no one looks at it. Ever. I wanted something to work towards, but it's going to eat me alive. And now this is failing, too. It's not publishing to Blogspot.

Super Special Christmas Update

Okay... Okay... One of my gifts was... Fifty dollars! :D And I already had enough... But Dreamhost is having a sale...
I need to talk to my dad. I'm going to very likely get the two year plan... And well, you know the drill! ^_^
Merry Christmas to whoever reads this... Basically no one, but it's nice to talk to yourself sometimes. I don't know when Ubu Panoozi's opening date/birthday will be... But looks like good news all around.
:D

Hello

Hi! This is my first post. :)
I'm Lea, the aforementioned one!
Ubu Panoozi wishes you a Merry Christmas. I'm really looking forward to it myself. I really don't have anything interesting to say. Sorry you can't have a giant wall of text like you're used to. Bye!

I talked to my mom....

Dreamhost seems to be having a pretty neat sale (only $64 for two whole years) so I talked to my mom. She isn't sure. I told her it would be very creative, but she was worried about safety. Eh? I talk to strangers all the time. I'll just tell her that communications would be minimal, which is severely unlikely, what with affiliation and all the neat contests it might be fun to do. I just don't see the harmer in talking to "strangers".
It's not like everyone on the Internet is a pedophile, secretly fifty, or both! I told her it would be in dad's name (his credit cards), and she asked if I'd talked to him. I haven't, but that's because she's the one who typically masterminds/shoots down things. None of my parents know what a website entails, or how much it costs. I have enough money, and Lea has a huge, huge amount, though she's unwilling to spend it. About Lea- she hasn't really posted here, has she, but I'm fairly sure she's reading this because she asked me about the layout. She's making some original characters, still, like a magical chandler named Chandler and her sister, Redo. She doesn't have a single male original character. I bet her posts would be fairly interesting; she should make an account and I'll let it post to this blog. They would hopefully not ramble as much as mine or act victimized as much as Relith's- so, Relith.
I left some pretty harsh comments on her entries, because I was steamed. More than a little hurt, kind of in "Good riddance" mode. I just don't think it was fair how she acted like we were being horrible to her while we weren't. I wasn't trying to shunt her art aside at all- she always acted like that a couple of months ago. She felt bad, like people put her down. :/ I don't understand her anger- yeah, I gave lots of attention to Lea's art, but anger at that is basically little more than petty jealousy. I understand not being valued, but I always left uplifting, meaningful messages after her little rants, letting her know I did care.
I hate to stir up such conflict on Christmas Eve (ha, yeah right), but hopefully no one will read my comments. Well, they will now that I directed attention towards them. You'll be glad to know that at least I mean every word- I wasn't fabricating mean things to say! Sincere hostility.
Merry Christmas, everyone! Ubu Panoozi is coming along- whether anyone reads this blog or not. I don't care if they do. I get to vent quite a bit. If Lea would contribute, that would be dandy. I wonder what sort of art projects she'll be doing for Ubu Panoozi. I may post later. I do love vacation. For some reason it feels like the end of something.... Like there won't be anything after January First. I don't know why.

Several small pages on locations in Sinnoh done (not strictly informational)!

I'm not very good with information. I wrote some pages today about locations in Sinnoh, but they weren't walkthroughs or basic informational pages, just slightly bad jokes and descriptions. I have problems with being serious. A lot of my time lately has been sacrificed to Diamond.

So, the pages were, for all you uninterested people:

  • Twinleaf Town (too short, basically whining about how boring Twinleaf is)
  • Sandgem Town (so saaaandy)
  • Jubilife City (everyone here is nice, poking fun at the "huge" population)
  • Oreburgh City (harmful to miners)
  • Floaroma Town (hell for people with allergies)

That's it. Expect more really dumb location babbling later. I need to create an index page explaining them. So, now I have a bunch of pages that I should coral and count, and none are pages with boring box art, detailing the new features in a game, so I am doing pretty well. I'm going to ask Relith/Itoe to tutor me in the art of making a quiz, since I lack knowledge about that sort of thing, or I might use Butterfree's free quiz scripts. It just seems much more fulfilling to create the quiz myself and marvel about it. So, Itoe created Echoless Snow (old name: Morphine Rose) over at Wordpress, and that's her site, go look at it. Not much at it at press time, but you can expect things.

Current page count:

5 location pages, 2 affiliation pages, 1 unfinished Lifespan of a Pokemon page (pure speculation), 1 webmastering page (color combinations/schemes from heck), 1 page about Pokemon that resemble food, 1 "The Factor Factor" page, 1 tentative page/activity where we interview art thieves under the pretense of asking about "their" work, 1 dumb page about Pinkan Berries that will go unposted, and possibly more because I'm just that hardcore. So, eleven (11) current pages, not counting the unfinished one and one I thought was dumb. The tentative page is included although I am not sure about this. Got an art thief problem? Contact me. It does seem slightly immature, though, and I don't know if it seems like harassment.

I have an idea for a quiz that requires understanding of quiz script, and another idea about a common thing that gamers suffer from, so I will be nerdy and spend loads of time typing them up.

Layout progress:

Tentative layout, unfinished (lacks images), needs polishing, though it is not obnoxious. *sends out hopeful Lea signal* She's working on original character designs and development, but I may prod her to work on some design ideas for the banner/decorative other things.

Merry Christmas to all, in case I don't catch you before Christmas Day. I need to convince my parents to let me have my random creativity/fan site soon.

Goodbye, everyone. I'm hoping to ask my parents, and I hope they oblige. :D

Hello again.

Wow, time gets away from a person! Between working on a layout, attempting to make pages, and speculating, Ubu Panoozi has sort of progressed. :D

I was unhappy to learn that Eonlight Valley has been highjacked! It's a fairly popular site, and the wonderful webmistress is of course not giving up. She's currently working things out and hoping that the problem will be rectified. Read her account on her deviantART here- http://kronakitty.deviantart.com/journal/21851732/...

Enough with the boring webmastering news bulletin- you probably all know that or don't care. I just admire Kronakitty's hard work and devotion to that site.

I'm attempting to write a page on how long Pokémon live… It's coming along, sort of. My best friend spent the night, so I'm sort of sapped of interesting things to say. For all of you (nobody) waiting for Ubu Panoozi to get somewhere, I have been trying. I get frustrated sometimes, and my page ideas were leaving me. Ah, well, I'm tired, and I have some things to work on, so we'll keep this mercifully brief! Tune in next time for another "update". And I hope EV is back up soon! Goodbye.

Attention Duelists!

MY HAIR IS TELLING ME IT'S TIME TO BOARD.

"Oh no," you whimper. "Not Abridged Series references!" But the webmaster just laughs.

"Fool," they sneer. "Stop turning this into a story. This is a blog post, not an epic novel. But if it were…"

You shake your head, and then craftily reveal your weapon: the webmaster's awful attempts at drawing.

Their eyes widen.
"You wouldn't!"

"I will if you don't promise to never make Abridged Series references again," you threaten.

"Ha, like I'll stop!" The webmaster laughs. You shake your head again…

"Hey, everyone!" You stage-whisper, dramatically holding out the bad art. "Come see-"
"No!" screeches the webmaster. "I won't do it again! Just- just don't show anyone the art!" You set it down, smugly. Another day saved by you, the visitor. Another viewer spared from Abridged Series references. And then you realize this is supposed to be a blog post, and it's all another plot of the webmaster. She's typing it right now… What a nightmare! You scamper down the line, dodging text, but you trip. You're trapped!

And our story ends here.

Anyways, I've been attempting to draw (not pretty) lately. Thanks for the plug by Relith ( http://morphinerose.wordpress.com/ ) who doesn't live here anymore. I want to wish you guys a Happy Thanksgiving. I get time off so I might make pages- and I might make some today. It's sometimes difficult to think of ideas, but that's part of the lovely challenge.

I suppose I will attempt to draw more visitors to read my dull antics by linking from various accounts. I know it's not a well-done blog, but it won't always be a blog.

I spent most of my morning thinking about meeting several celebrities and wondering what it would be like. It involved exaggerated squealing. Yeah, I'll spare you guys.

It's almost December and the weather is rather crazy. It gets warm but then it suddenly becomes cool and foggy or overcast. I prefer the fog, really. It hasn't rained yet (typical California).

Lea also got me hooked on the Babymouse comics. They are pretty cute. They're VERY quick reads, though. They were probably designed for younger kids, but I still like them. :3

I don't think Ubu Panoozi will be up as soon as I originally did. This time last year I was dreaming of a website, planning out layouts on pieces of paper (and hiding them from the teacher). I had a huge amount of ideas for pages that I won't use. That seems so long ago, even though last (school) year was probably the shortest year of my life. I feel like I want to say thanks… must be early Thanksgiving spirit. I might, just might, update my deviantART with an actual drawing. I'm practicing. I'm not very good.

Nearer and Nearer!

Not dead, just nearer to my goal.

I made three pages today. Yes, not very valuable alone, but together, they make… ehm, a cool trio. This won't be a long post; it's just a report. I've also piqued Relith's interest, and she might do some art. She's been translating a bunch of things into Japanese lately, I heard. Anyways, I'm proud of making three pages (and slacking off on schoolwork :3 ) today. I put a lot of effort into them. It's not the code versions, just the Microsoft Word versions! But that's very good if you want to make sure your spelling (and grammar, though the grammar check is unreliable), and they are pretty long. For some reason doing social studies always makes me want to post to the blog. After the whole Eraser thing, it's hard to blame me. I realized that I have absolutely atrocious grammar! I don't know how to remedy this problem. I always thought that my grammar was decent.

I spent a large amount of time on the computer making pages today, but don't I always? I was a bit obsessive about order and wording of the pages; I might have to redo them sometime, or at least slightly edit them. They were all at least two pages long since I tend to ramble, fairly useless and hopefully original. I tried, though, and effort and heart count in these sort of things. I just don't know why someone would really read nearly four pages about Pokemon that resemble food, especially if I wrote it! I probably would, admittedly, but I tend to read extremely long things on weird subjects like that. It was kind of a survival guide about which Pokemon you can eat and thus disturbing. Answer: Nearly all Pokemon, though I zeroed in on the ones that really looked like food- I also want to marry Bulbapedia now. They really helped me on certain things, though I knew which Pokemon I wanted to use and about them.

I just hope someone out there will actually read my pages sometime. I tried to make them entertaining but as I'm not necessarily funny, the back of a soda can has more entertainment value than most of my work.

Anyways, more walls of text for pages later. My other two contributions were affiliation-related. They are also walls of text, especially the second one, which probably will prompt more than one aspiring affiliate into gouging their eyes out in defeat and frustration. I could prune it a bit, but I honestly tried to make it slightly more brief (and failed, apparently). Me putting my soul into somehow generally means it's a tl;dr moment for the world. I hope you guys are happy…

Before I go, I'd like to mention a great webmistress at pokemonfictions.com. Her name is Kioso, and you can tell she has a very lively personality. She's got some funny characters, and likes to do many things. I liked her website because it offered her own brand of new, original things, mostly related to her fictional universes. It was pretty entertaining, and I really enjoyed some of her ideas. I also enjoyed the layout, a nice black and purple outfit that looked quite good and like she obviously put some effort into it!

Unfortunately, today I returned and apparently Kioso has been flamed a lot, and spammed by trolls repeatedly. She's not some wimp, but she was pissed and got very upset because of these unwanted visitors. I didn't happen to see any of the flamers, but they were harsh, probably jealous. Things have gotten pretty bleak for Pokemon Fictions, since Kioso got fed up due to the hate. She was doing well before that, but now, looks like she's discouraged. Now, I know that every webmaster and mistress has had a moment like this, when they were frustrated and wanted to give up! I don't approve of badgering her to make new pages, or being rude or annoying to her right now, but I think we need to encourage and support her. It's not like she got bashed a bit and decided to take a break- she is sort of underrated, and doesn't feel like she gets nearly enough respect. Webmastering has gotten frustrating for her! I think we need to support her, and let her know that her site is worthwhile. I don't know Kioso personally, but she seems like a great person with a lot to say and to contribute to her site, and she's taking a well-deserved break, I guess- I just don't want her to fizzle out and quit. She needs to keep going, to keep being inspired, but she's really been overworked. I say we appreciate, encourage, and send positive, heartfelt messages about what we like about Pokemon Fictions, and honor her decision. She needs to know that she does have fans, and that people care about her site. She got some response when she posted the 'I'm taking a break' message, and is probably feeling a bit better, but she deserves a roaring response. I think most webmasters do in their times of need. She wasn't trying to be melodramatic and flounce around, and she's not doing this for attention: she was just honestly admitting her anger and frustration.

Much luck to Kioso.

But mostly about Pokemon!

Ubu Panoozi is mostly about Pokemon. Pokemon is love, and besides, my love for Naruto isn't at a particular strongpoint; there will be a few other things but mainly Pokemon. Pokemon sites are really versatile anyways (it could be comics about Pokemon without specific canonical characters and such).

Also random funny thing: I was looking through a text book dawdling, not doing work and devising historical crack pairings, and stumbled upon a picture of a Noh mask. There were two, and I found myself admiring the peculiar triangular eyebrows on one. The other had normal eyebrows, but this one was cool-looking. I liked how the eyebrows, a dark silvery color, shone- hey, wait a minute! It turns out that someone- the former owner of this textbook, no doubt- had penciled in the artistic brows. Wow.

This particular former owner seems to think that they can get away with whatever scribbling they want. I beg to differ, Mysterious Former Owner! Your villainous defacement will stop for good once I- well, tell the world about your evil, disrespectful, triangular-eyebrow-marking ways. See how your plans are unraveling around you? Not so proud now, Former Owner, nor when the police show up at your door to apprehend you, sirens blaring. I am your nemesis, for I am The Eraser, proudly rubbing out all humorous vandalism! Ha! Foiled!
"Darn you, Eraser! My plan was brilliant, and I would have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for you and your meddling drawing-spotting powers!"

"Thank you, Eraser! The day is saved!"

"All in a day's work. Now, go back home while I talk to the police, for this has been another victory for… The Eraser! Completely normal student by day, vandalism-fighting tattletale by night!"

Yep. Oh, don't tell me you haven't had dorky superhero fantasies like that one. Don't tell me that, for we all have. Deep in our hearts.

I seem to have scared you off. Oh, well.

"Holy toast, Eraser! The Former Owner is wreaking havoc on the medieval Japan pages!"
"Looks like a job for… The Eraser! Guardian of all things textbook!"

"Ha, ha, Eraser. You think you're so clever, but you've really fallen into my trap. Now, I will proceed to tell you my evil plan while doodling all over your precious textbooks."
"You can't win, Former Owner… I won't let you. NO, NOT THE TEXTBOOKS! YOU DEVIOUS VANDAL."

"Ha ha, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it."

"On the contrary, Former Owner, looks like the joke's on you!"

"What the-? How did the Eraser slip out of my hands? HOW?"

Et cetera. Now, if you need me, I'll be saving the illustrations.

Next week, on a Very Special Episode of the acclaimed Ubu Panoozi

*cue dramatic music* One dream, of fail. One hope, one ambition, a cornucopia. One person who absolutely can't write dramatic scripts.

This… is Ubu Panoozi. Coming soon to an Internet near you.

This empty blog is trying to tell you something. It's telling you that we have sufficient funds.

While choking back the dust, this blog is breathlessly telling of birthday money, hoarding, equaling a prized amount.

And untold riches…

But mostly that AYAME HAS ENOUGH MONEY TO START PRODDING HER PARENTS ABOUT GETTING A WEBSITE AND OH SHE'S ALSO BEEN WORKING ON A TERRIBLY DONE LAYOUT AND WE MISS YOU RELITH.

That is all.

-

I bet you totally want to tune in for the season premier! I have some dumb ideas up my sleeves that are sure as toast going to play a part. There will be no initial affiliation scrabble. We will be unpopular and affiliates will be unopened. Popcorn will be provided and dust will be blown.

Stealth plots will almost certainly be made to lure Relith back for unknown, possibly sinister purposes that absolutely do not involve coding. (No, really.)

"We just want her for the lulz," Ayame, an Internet resident, claims. "We had good times, you know. She [Relith] used to draw cats. And she used to spazz. These were attributes we could trust."

"Yep, good times," recalls resident Lea, with a glazed look on her face. She goes on to comment that the times she had with Relith were awesome and "shiny".

"I'm not actually saying this," adds Lea. "It's actually Ayame typing this, but, hey, you know, I would totally be cheering Relith on about now. Really."
Relith was unavailable for comment.

As of press time, opening dates are unknown.

Well, aren't we our own miniature soap opera?

Yes, no kidding, she's gone. Relith, my former partner in crime, has packed her bags, the poor dear, and officially left. (See: last post by Relith)
Not the most graceful way to do it, actually- she acts like we were treating her like a slave, while she was disagreeable and resisted our attempts to compromise.
Anyhow, Ubu Panoozi is not dead or gone in any way. We still are complaining avidly to the annoyance of nonexistent readers, our usual dull shenanigans. I am struggling with CSS, Lea is drawing (for her own amusement), and I am venting my frustration at passerby.
Yes, Relith is gone, and she doesn't seem to be coaxed back with any amount of hot chocolate or promises. Her site- she disembarked with the promise that she WOULD create something, perhaps we could be affiliates?- is absent, but she is of course, you know, "working on it". In her usual, familiar Relith way.
Over the last few days I have done a number of uproarious, controversial things, and I have been called a "disgrace". That's lovely, right?
Unfortunately, this soap opera has frightfully low ratings.
Join us next time on 'Ubu Panoozi' for another installment of petty, boring drama and vague references to my trickery.
To be continued!

Decision

I have officially decided to leave ubu panoozi. i'm sorry Ayame, but i still feel as though my art is disregarded. that, and it's taken almost a year to plan this site, and we haven't even gotten much planning done. it shouldn't take this long to plan a website. a bussiness, maybe, but an anime fansite,no. sorry.

So, I didn’t get the part of Willy Wonka. D:

I'm using weird fonts to upload my blog because I discovered the (painfully obvious) feature of uploading blog posts from Microsoft Word. Wow, exciting. [/sarcasm]

I'm using Papyrus now. I've decided not to rant about not getting the part. It will not do any of you any good to hear about it. Nobody wants an annoyingly depressed blog owner, and besides, I've gotten over it, so I'm pretty chipper right now. Unfortunately, I have schoolwork looming and I got up late. Too late.

I was supposed to be doing something ridiculously important, but I'm far too busy updating a blog. I still think that this feature is nifty, but beware, many, many blog posts will be made in the future about nothing in particular, and proudly published. I had a nice weekend. Happy autumn, everyone out there! I'm starting to be annoyed by the constant grammatical errors I seem to make, due to the grammar checker disregarding context and it's somewhat unreliable.

My life is painfully uninteresting, I think. My whole day consists of work and whining, but I really can't rant about that. I am not going to get distracted by politics, either, despite the many issues that I often feel the need to rant about and the awful doings of a much-loved (give me a break) candidate. (I'm looking at you, Sarah Palin. Yes.) Word crashed when I got to the word candidate, because, apparently, it can absolutely not stand me voicing my opinion. Every time I seem to, it crashes. It's oddly hilarious. Or maybe Word just fails. Ha, I dare you to spontaneously crash, Word. I dare you. At least it recovered the thing. I feel like using different colors for the sake of it. Anyways, back to dull work. I shouldn't complain.

I've got a weird, stupid mind. You should see my to-do list that I made up. I'm not even funny.

Willy Wonka Wishes: And a half-hearted response to Itoe...

So, this thing I'm involved in (I loathe it) is providing a drama club a few cities over. They are doing a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I went to the casting call today, which was dull, and I almost died while I was forced to sing in front of people. I now empathize a bit more with people who fear public speaking, because public singing (singing in general) is my weakness. With acting, there seems to be a thrill before you get on, excitement, maybe a little dread, and anticipation, like a rollercoaster mounting the first hill. With singing, I think the rollercoaster crashed (I only sang a pathetic tidbit of Popular, and the words I had confidently memorized evaporated, deserted me, returned, and refused to organize themselves. But I only had one night to practice...). Anyways, back to my main point.
I only have one desire, one goal, one purpose in existing in this drama club... A wild dream...
I want to be cast as Willy Wonka.
Now, this may seem ludicrous for a female, especially after the singing fiasco (I felt dizzy), but I am reassured by the fact that I Read The Pants Off All The Other Wonka Readers.
Their performance was lackluster; I think I brightened up the role. When I complained that I must have failed, the others assured me that I did great!
The cold reading is always the best part. I do dread being emailed the assigned roles, though, because:
I only read as three characters- Phineas Trout, Willy Wonka, and Grandma Georgina.
If I do not recieve the role of Willy Wonka, I am left in a bad place. I wouldn't mind Phineas Trout so much, but Grandma Georgina seems bad, and I did not even read her well!
I am usually shunted aside in productions. I mean, I am not the best actor, but I want to be in the spotlight. It's just because of my singing thing.
It's Willy Wonka or nothing, folks. It is very probable that I will drop out if I do not recieve a good role. If I somehow, miraculously, get one, then I'm staying. But I only read for those three aforementioned characters, and I don't want to desert this.
Can anyone even envision a female Wonka? The other people who read have the advantage of being male; I just want to be Willy Wonka. He's awesome. In plays, I don't think it matters what gender someone is. I think I remember reading about a time where ALL the actors were male.
All hope is not lost; I have been acknowledged, and I think that the people running it will consider me.
Cross your fingers; pray; and if all fails, please stand by to console me.
Translation: Look out for a future emo rant.
And, about Itoe/Relith's post, I'm sorry. I think that designating someone as 'main' in something could create some hierarchy issues later, so let us not label each other. I don't want feelings of inferiority surfacing.
Please stay with us; I think it's in your best interests.
And pray for me to be Willy Wonka.

Coder's Rights

My first post on this blog. As I am the person thats doing all the coding for Ubu Panoozi because SOMEBODY *coughLeacough* is too lazy to remember much HTML. What I've been wondering about is...How much control on the graphics of a layout do you think a coder for a multi-person run website should have, assuming theres someone there to do various images? As a coder and an artist,I think that the person coding the layout should be aloud to do some,if not all,of the graphics for the layout assuming they are willing to. Some people seem to think differently *coughAyamecough*, as,even if the person behind the coding specifies a desire to do the graphics, their art may get pushed aside so the main artist can do the art, even if the complicates things and annoys the coder. Sometimes if the coder does the graphics before the webmaster/webmistress(assuming the coder isn't the webmaster) knows of the layout, they may get unfairly confronted for not letting the main artist do the graphics, even if the layout is just for fun. For some of those reasons,I have been thinking about quiting Ubu Panoozi. And I probably will. I plan to think it over for a while, though.

My Opinion: The Youtube Community

Well, the Youtube community has definitely evolved over the years, but people who praise if for being a completely diverse group who brings you lots of videos usually know very little about what actually goes on on Youtube. I'm not saying that I'm some sort of expert on the Youtube community, but I have hung around some people. I've witnessed people bragging offsite about how they love Youtube because they can neglect proper grammar and typing skills. I've seen haters attack something they didn't like. I've seen almost impossibly stupid comments about Japan and how it is cool posted on videos of Chinese martial arts because the person was mistaken. Yes, Youtube is diverse. Though it mainly consists of different groups of really stupid, mean people.
There are a lot of users, and trolls, video flamers, haters, and noobs are just going to come, but this is a highly concentrated amount. Most haters attack anything they don't like, regardless of the reason. Trolls are just disruptive, but Youtube doesn't seem to have any standards for dealing with them. People commenting on an Anime Music Video often get sidetracked into heated discussion about pairings. Rabid fans defend their favorite artist, song, show, book, or anything to the end, but it just creates more trouble. I think it's time that everyone faced up to the fact that Youtube is unfriendly. You can find a few gems in there, but not before wading through the rubbish left behind by others.
I honestly think that Youtube needs to shape up. Obviously, you don't need to listen to me, but their community is vicious. It's full of people without a sense of humor. It's all about opinion, I guess. I acknowledge that people have different opinions on things. Stating your opinion is not the same as being rude. And is it really necessary to flame every single video of a pairing you don't like? Some Youtubers seem to think this. They go out of their way to cause trouble by posting comments with excessive swearing, rudeness, and many other tactics. Miley Cyrus is perhaps the most targeted person currently. Now, I don't really enjoy her, and she's not the best singer, but I'm not creating a fuss about it. The poor girl has enough trouble already, being involved with the current Scandal of the Month every time she takes a breath. Anyways, people are absolutely awful to her. They call her names, degrade her, spread rumors and slander. Then people fight back. Of course someone ought to do something about it, but with that mentality, it's going to cause an outright war, especially because there is immaturity on both sides. Fans who hurl themselves valiantly into the fray often just cause more chaos and unhappiness. And once the ball is rolling, people keep on commenting, recycling old issues and keeping the war going. These things can go on for ages.
A previous issue on Youtube was cruelty. All too often someone would post a video of them killing a spider or small animal. The issue is partly resolved now (I'm happy to see that many videos were removed) but it could return. Not all of these people are trolls. Personally, I would just report and avoid these videos, but many people take it upon themselves to send some acid comments and shocked, outraged rants to the posters, but if you want to play hero, prepare to have the thing go out of control. Fortunately, most people commenting on the video will be against it in this circumstance, but often owners of these sorts of videos are very ready for the barrage of unhappy messages. Often these people are trolls, and I think the Youtube community should all repeat the constant wise rule: Trolls are there for getting attention, and taking up arms against them is just giving them what they wanted.
Since many people on the Youtube community seem unable to distinguish trolls from regular people, they just go all out automatically. It's a troll breeding ground over there.
It's best to be polite in your opinion when commenting. Even the most politely phrased comment that only says: I don't like this show very much, sorry, can be taken wrong and will be targeted. Commenting just to state that you don't care for a certain thing is tedious, and though you can involve this in your post, be careful. Youtube could probably be a better community, but they're sidetracked with Miley Cyrus and other important matters. This is the sort of thing where people don't work out their differences.

Hello there.

Okay, I was going to post a message, but then I accidentally sent it when someone emailed me. Hi, this is Wilted/Ayame/Pink/whatever and this is the dramatic start of Ubu Panoozi the blog.
Definitely not the start of the ideas, though.
That was a long time ago. Ubu Panoozi was named January 1st, 2008. We're looking forward to bringing you random stuff when the site actually launches!
I have some ideas that will be kept secret because they might get stolen without ever being posted.
Theft happens a lot since this is the Internet.
Blogging is fun, though.
When Ubu Panoozi starts, I'll be the main but not sole writer, which I am a little apprehensive about due to my inexperience... But I do love to write.
I might just discuss some topics here, because this blog is a good way to write about things, and how I feel about the Internet in general. It's a pretty informative place, but sort of like a booth with Misinformation written on it at times. Getting fooled by hoaxes, silly urban legends, scams, and exaggerating people is easy sometimes.
The Internet has made me a skeptic! It's so sadly true.
Anyways, this blog probably won't be very good since I'm not a professional writer and I tend to get off-subject.
Let's make this clear, though: Ubu Panoozi isn't a news site. We may reference and comment on news, but our goal is not bringing you news because there are many, many other sites and lots of wannabe sites, too, to do this for you. We don't have authority.
We, do, though, have failed attempts at humor. That was not one at all.
I need to learn not to get off-subject. >_<
Anyways, welcome to our blog, Ubu Panoozi!
(A rather ludicrous name.)
It probably will be ignored, but it's good practice for the WEBSITE.
You can learn more about us elsewhere on the Internet.
Just look around.
